Western astrology reads the sky. Your chart is a snapshot of where the planets stood — Sun in Taurus, Moon in Scorpio, Mercury retrograde — and interprets your character through those placements and their angles.

Western astrology tracks the future through transits — planets moving over your natal chart. Pop astrology drifts toward identity — "I'm such a Gemini." Classical BaZi is blunter and, oddly, more empowering: the chart is your starting hand, not your script. The entire craft is about strategy — which element to strengthen, which season to act in, which environments feed your Day Master.
